Well this is going to be my last post. We have gotten justice for Ryan. We will no longer have the trial hanging over our heads. We have to get on with our lives. We all loved Ryan so much. Not a day will go by that we don't think of him. He will live in our hearts forever. This blog spot was created so that we could keep a lot of people up to date on what was going on. All of you that have been there for us, let us talk, let us cry, we will forever remember. Thank all of you so much. We also want to thank everyone who went with us to the trial and stood by us for moral support, and cried with us. All of you know how to reach us in a different way, so please keep in touch. Thank you, Stan, Pam, Jared, Ericka, Robert, and Matthew

We have gotten a guilty verdict. We have to go back tomorrow for the sentencing phase. It has been an emotionally draining day, but we couldn't have gotten a better outcome. It has been so unreal that we have had to be in the middle of such an awful thing. The things that we had to hear and see have been very difficult. It is so scary that such evil people are all around us. We feel very confidant that the jury will give him a very long prison term. Too much has happened to type, but we know that tomorrow will be easier than the last two.

We are finished with court for today. It has been a hard day at times, weird things going on. One witness totally refused to testify, and purjured himself on the stand, so is being charged with felony purjury. We think a gang member tried to talk to a juror and the judge threw him out. We are happy with the way things are going. We feel confident things will go our way. We have to be back at 8:45 tomorrow. The state has rested, so up to the defense now. He called one witness today who really hurt his case and turned out to be a good witness for Ryan. The defense lawyer is really scrambling, and has nothing. The witnesses have knocked down his theory that someone else did it. So we will go back tomorrow and hope that it goes to the jury quickly.

Well we are actually going to court tomorrow. The jury was picked today. It is going to be very hard, but we really need to put it behind us. We are ready to get on with our lives. We will have a lot of family and friends with us for moral support. We wouldn't make it without them. So bed thinking positive thoughts for us the next couple of days.

Ericka talked to the Asst. DA today, and as of today we are still on for next week. We won't go on Monday as that is jury selection. We have to be there Tuesday the 11th @ 9:00 am at the Frank Crowley Courts Building, 7th floor, 7th court. We need all of the moral support we can get to get through this.

Well we have been talking to the DA's office this week. We thought yesterday that Quevedo might take the plea bargain. But The Asst. DA called today and says as of today we are set for trial for next week. We still think that by Monday he will postpone it again, so we will just wait and see. We don't get our hopes up. But if it goes on next week we will go Tuesday, the 11th, at the Frank Crowley Court House, 7th floor, 7th court.
